Ain't nothin' but a party, y'all! That means songs about dancing... Can't have a party without a little drinkin'... Some folks prefer that Wacky Tobacky... A good party always has good food... And if you're single or just a dog, you could find that special someone. Might not lead to love but it could lead to... Well, you know. Take it where you will. Please Recommend!

Rock n Roll Heaven must be an awesome place. They're gathering up more and more of our most talented musicians from the 60s 70s and 80s. I thought today we can celebrate the great music they left us to enjoy.Dusty Hill, Eddy Van Halen, David Bowie and Pete Ham to name a few. Rest in Peace, you are gone but never forgotten.
Howdy all and happy Hump Day! Tonight, let's feature tunes about smoke and fire. Smoke Fire Between the haze in the air from the wildfires out West and the summer heat...it seemed appropriate. So....keywords...sure! Smoke, Haze, Mist, Cloud, Fog, Puff, Fire, Flame, Burn, Hell, Inferno, and Dragon. Tunes, bands and gifs with keywords in the title are all welcome! Now hang on! If the thread isn't whatcha got goin', then that's OK too! Post up what yer playing tonight. That's all that matters...the music. The thread is only an idea. Just follow the house rules and have a good time! That's what Triple V is all about! Ok folks, I know its not Halloween yet, but we are going to have a little fun anyway. Lotsa creepy, strange, scary Rock bands and tunes out there. So, turn the lights low, hell turn them off and light some candles to set the mood. Now, crank it up to 11 and get creepy weird with your Rock & Roll! Post Rock songs whos title, band/artist name, or album name falls in the realm of the strange and creepy. If you'd rather post tunes that are more comforting and sane, I can dig that! Do not fret, VVV is always an open thread. Meaning, post whatever Rock tunes you wish to share. Post funny memes, pics, or gifs. Tell us about your favorite Rock concert you have seen. Those always Rock! One last thing before we dim the lights. Please have fun and follow VVV's Golden Rules. PLEASE RECOMMEND
When Rock-N-Roll came about here in America it spread like wildfire all over the World and it's still going strong. Youth everywhere picked up on the rebellious spirit, infectious beat, loud guitars, and added dashes of spices and other musical seasonings from their own countries. This thread, we're going to salute our musical cousins from all over the World and not play any American bands or artists. There's plenty of great Rock-N-Roll from other countries to work with, believe me. I have to say, though - God Bless America! It all started here. I guess hybrid outfits are okay...a Yank or two here and there never hurt anybody. It's Open Thread too for those of us that have something different to share with everybody. Please respect our Rules - we cleaned our torture chamber over the weekend and we'd like to keep it that way for a while. That could mean posting songs by your favorite live bands or those bands that you always wanted to see in concert. Sure do wish that I could have seen Muddy, Johnny and James when they were touring together... Or maybe you're in the mood for a play or a movie. A Romantic Comedy? Film Noir? Maybe some Science Fiction or a Ghost Story? Slasher Flick? How about a Monster Jam? Don't forget the Magic Show! In other words, it's another weekend open thread. Play the music that you love. Please Recommend! Hey all! Hope everyone is having a good summer. I say that because there’s no shortage of heat to remind us what season it is. Seriously, go find water. Quick! Anyway, back to the real topic, today i thought we’d tackle an era of rock (that I personally dig) that we surprisingly don’t tackle here THAT often. Of course, I’m going about rock’s early years. The early years of rock are usually considered to be 50s and 60s, before we get to what’s considered the “classic rock” years beginning in the 70s. Rules are simple: post pretty much any song you like from the 50s and 60s. Hell, you can even sneak in some early 70s since some of it fits in with the late 60s work. I’m really not that strict. This would be the part where I add some songs here but it’s not letting me post any so here’s a pic instead! If this era of music isn’t your cup of tea, that’s cool too. This is an open thread at the end of the day.
Enjoy. :-) Howdy all! Another Wednesday here at the V and tonight, I'm thinking a little on the negative side. Not that there's something wrong! Never that! Just that there's a bunch of tunes that have a negative in the title... negative : a word or statement that expresses denial, disagreement, or refusal.
Key words...sure...NO, NOT, NEVER, NONE, NOTHING, NOBODY, NOWHERE, AIN'T, DON'T, DIDN'T, CAN'T, WASN'T, WON'T, COULDN'T, SHOULDN'T, WRONG, . For sure there's a tune I'm looking for, post it and get the Golden Upvote (post an elephant gif for extra points)! Hang on...if you ain't into my "no" thing, then that's OK too. Here at Triple V, we just want to chill and swap tunes. You got something ya'll wanna play, then play it! Just remember...enjoy yer stay and leave the drama at the door. I remember, as a adolescent, all four of us kids having Paint By Numbers kits. It was the only way I could paint a halfway decent picture and it still wasn't very good. My little sister was the artist of the family. She dont need no stinking numbers! Lol But, she can really draw and paint. Proud of my little sister! Anyhow, the idea here is Colors and Numbers. Post any Rock song that has a Color or a Number in the title of the song, band/artist name, or album name. If posting Rock tunes by colors and numbers doesn't do it for you, I can dig that! Do not fret. VVV is always an open thread. Meaning, post whatever Rock tunes you wish to share. Post funny memes, gifs, or pics. Tell us about your favorite Rock concert you have attended. One last thing before we get started. Please have fun and follow VVV's Golden Rules. PLEASE RECOMMEND Poem Where Go The Boats? by Robert Louis Stevenson Well it's Monday again, so I'd like to welcome everybody back from Fauna's Weekend Getaway thread! I trust everybody had a great rockin' time, but now the workweek awaits and it's time to come back home wherever your home might be. Let's keep on rockin' with songs about HOMES, HOUSES, VILLAGES, TOWNS, CITIES, and other places where we live and the activities that go on inside of them. Bring it home, Veegers! Yeah, it's our usual Open Thread so play anything you like as long as it's good ol' Rock-N-Roll. Please follow our Rules too so everything remains cool. We like cool around here. |
