Today we're feeling frisky. We're looking for bands and or songs with lyrics or titles with kiss, hug ---yada yada yada in them. If'n the theme doesn't blow back what's left of your hair, just post your favorite Classic Rock tunes, your funny pics and gifs... We're easy to get along with here at VVV.. Have a safe and rockin' weekend all.
Hey there, Triple V! Well, we got over the hump and the weekend is in sight. Tonight, let's take a look at tunes that have a vowel as the first letter in the name. A, E, I, O, U and Y.
And sometimes... Another one of Joe's free throw threads. Come on. This one is easy. And if for some reason, you feel the need to go off thread, then you have our permission. After all, here at Vintage Vinyl it's not about the thread, it's all about the music. Let's sit back and relax...post up some tunes, finny gifs or maybe chat with a pal. Turn up the volume and block out the world. After all, it'll be there when we decide to check back in. Ok kiddies, everyone gather around, it's Rock & Roll storytime! Before we get started, could one of you little darlings go and grab Uncle Steelie another beer? Oh, and sweetie, please bring Uncle Steelie his pipe too. Yes, the funny smelling one. Post rock songs that tell a story or songs about someone or something that happened in history. If you are more into catchy tunes than the story the telling type, I can dig that! Do not fret, VVV is always an open thread. Meaning, post whatever Rock tunes you wish to share. Post funny memes, pics, or gifs. Tell us about one of your favorite concerts you enjoyed, live and in person. One last thing before we pop the corn and dim the lights. Please have fun and follow VVV's Golden Rules. PLEASE RECOMMEND One of my favorite songs is 3 Dog Night's 'Easy to be Hard' so I'm making songs with Easy and Hard in their lyrics or titles the theme for today. Keeping things simple to kick off the week. LOL How is that for a playlist? Let's relax, grab some snacks and libations from Joey's Garage and get the party started. Have a safe and fabulous week all. Peace Love & Rock n Roll.
Since yesterday was Earth Day, I thought we could spend the weekend traveling around the world. Being an old school kind of gal, you can keep your GPS. Just hand me a map. With map in hand, I can still find the fastest way to reach a destination, or, if the mood strikes, I can pull off the road and find the scenic route... So post some traveling songs... Songs about where you've been, where you'd like to go and how to get there. Or not. Feel like staying home this weekend, or maybe just heading out to the neighborhood tavern? That's cool too. Just play some good tunes. Recommend!
What is your Friday song? The one you crank up right after work to kick off the weekend. The one you crank up on the drive home or maybe the one you play when you're getting ready to hit the town. Depending on my mood, i might crank up Deep Purple or Joan Jett or maybe some ACDC. Save the mellow stuff for later. We want to hear some music with energy. Let's get the party started! Show us your Friday songs!!!
FEEL FREE TO SING ALONG AND DANCE, YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!!! Peace Love and Rock. Have a safe and happy weekend everyone! 😎🥰😛🙃😈😹💘🤍💙🧡💜💚 Hehehehehe how about that! Finally, a day of celebration for those who endulge. Yes, it's true. We now have a day to celebrate cannabis. Millions endulge, so I guess seeing how it's being legalized just about in every state or going to be legalized, it's about time to pick a day to celebrate and April 4th is the perfect day! It's 420 Baby!!! So, let's celebrate on VVV by posting songs about being high, relaxing, and eating. Post songs with food in the title. I know this thread is being publish on April 19th, but it's 420 Eve! So let's start the party early and keep it going thru Wednesday 4/20! If you are still adamantly against marijuana, I can dig that! Do not fret, VVV is always an open thread. Meaning, post whatever Rock tunes you wish to share. Post funny memes, pics, or gifs. Perhaps, tell us a story about the first time you got high. Those always rock! One last thing before we light up! Please have fun and follow VVV's Golden Rules. PLEASE RECOMMEND Today we're gonna heat things up a little.......or a lot! What songs are you playing on date night with that someone special? What singers do you think exude hotness? Don't keep them to yourself. We all want some hotness so post your favorites. When's the last time you steamed up the windows in your car? What song was playing on the 8 track? LOL You can tell us. What happens at VVV, stays at VVV....
😈😹😹😈🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 If'n you don't like the theme, no problem. Just post your favorite songs, pics and gifs. Don't break our house rules and no one will get hurt. There are more rules posted but rule #1 is to have fun. Let's have a safe and fun week. I was trying to come up with a theme for Easter weekend when I came across a story about a Medieval fad that involved drawing killer rabbits in the margins of manuscripts. Why killer rabbits? Who knows, but it does appeal to my love of oddities. Because it is Easter weekend, I was thinking we could post songs that deal with those things we associate with the holiday; flowers, spring, rebirth and renewal, lambs, eggs, chicks, and yes, rabbits, killers or otherwise. The full moon is also associated with Easter. It is the first full moon after the Spring Equinox that determines when Easter Sunday is celebrated. That's why one of the names for the full moon in April is the Paschal Moon. Other names include the Pink Moon, Breaking Ice Moon, Budding Moon, Frog Moon, Sucker Fish Moon, Duck Moon and Goose Moon. Although we prefer to avoid religion and politics at the Triple V, there is no denying that Easter is about faith in higher powers. I don't think anyone would mind if a few old spirituals are played. This is one of my favorites. It appeals to my rural sensibilities. Naturally, it's always an open thread at The Triple V. If rabbits, full moons or spirituals don't do it for you, then post songs about whatever tickles your fancy. Might even decide to post a few songs about kitchen sinks. Recommend (or run away!) |
