Today we are going on a Rock & Roll road trip. Per request from one of VVV's favorite Rock-A-Maniacs, Commenter, that we take our music from city to city and other places that Rock! Maybe start in one of your favorite cities or places and take a trip around the world. To do this, all we simply have to do is Post songs that have a City or Place in the title of the song, album name,, or band/artist name. No need for keywords with this theme. Post tunes like these....... CCR - Lodi Rush - Lakeside Park If rockin' around the globe doesn't float your boat, I can dig that! Do not fret, VVV is always an open thread. Meaning, post any Rock song you wish to share. Post funny memes, pics, or gifs. Best yet, tell us about your favorite concerts you attended. One last thing before we blast off! Please have fun and follow VVV's Golden Rules. PLEASE RECOMMEND
Tonight's theme is fear, or more acurately, phobias. Considering how many things people are afraid of, you could say it's an open thread. Phobias include fear of bathing (ablutophobia) and fear of bubbles (ebulliophobia). No champagne for you! There is a fear of cats (ailurophobia) and a fear of bats (chiroptophobia), a fear of gravity (barophobia) and a fear of heights (acrophobia). That last one messes with me. Some poor souls even have melophobia... a fear of music. So get your phobias on. Post songs about the things that people are afraid of, which is just about everything. Most of all, play the music that you love. It's always an open thread at The Triple V. Please Recommend! Welcome to another million dollar edition of VVV's music, mirth, and mingling! A long time ago. we humans got sick and tired of clubbin' each other over the head and stealin' one another's stuff so we invented the medium of exchange that we eventually called money. It's a lot more civil method (for most of us, that is) for us to get what we need, and if we get enough of it, get what we don't need too and plenty of it. At the current rate of exchange, we'll be looking for songs that have anything to do with money - money in general, names of denominations (from foreign countries if you wish), amounts (too much or too little), anything of monetary value (precious metals and stones), lifestyles according to how much or how little of it you have, transactions, how to get it (work, cheat, steal, whatever) and even if you really care about it or if you don't. In short, if your tuneage has anything at all to do with money, we're all ears. Here...have some from us at VVV. We're all loaded. *hic* I'm sure you all know that the invaluable services here at Vintage Vinyl Video are provided free of charge. The only small change that we ask in return is to follow our rules, respect one another, and have a rockin' good time while you're here. As always, it's Open Thread too if you're a little short today and have some other rock-n-roll offerings for us other than the theme.
Good evening, my friends and welcome to another Saturday night here at Vintage Vinyl Video. Let's focus our musical thoughts on tunes about being young... Come on, we were all kids once! What songs make you think about the days when you really tore a hole in the fabric of society ?
Tonight, it's all about the kiddies and feeling young again...perhaps some punk music...after all, I hope there's a little punk in all of us! Easy, right? Now if you would rather go off on a different direction, then that's cool too. After all, it's always about the music anyway and not the thread. Just remember to be cool and have fun. Everything else will work itself out in the end. Today's theme is songs made without or with very little contribution from electric instruments. Acoustic or a cappella will work too. We want to hear those voices. If'n the theme doesn't interest you--it's going in your file! No worries! We are always open thread so just post your favorite crankable tuneage and chill with some of the coolest music lovers on the planet. Follow our golden rules and we will all have a great time. Let's get this weekend started! Feel free to sing along and dance like no one's watching.... you know you want to! Peace Love & Rock n Roll!
Hello fellow music lovers, and welcome to today's edition of Triple V. In this installment, we'll explore Duets - vocal, instrumental, and both. There's nothing like your favorite vocalist paired-up with another one of your favorite vocalists to give you the chills, and the same goes for instrumentalists too. Of course we can't and won't forget the duo acts either! The die is cast and it's snake eyes, but that's only bad if you're shooting craps. Right now though, it's a winner because it's just what we're looking for. It's also an Open Thread, so you can roll your own bones and come up with any combination(s) of Rock music that you'd like to share with us. To enhance and fully enjoy your 3-V experience, we kindly ask you to follow our House Rules, respect each other, and have the best time humanly possible while you're here. We also kindly request you to tap the heart and Recommend us to anyone who'll listen.
Good evening and welcome to Vintage Vinyl Video! Last week we covered "two" songs and "three" songs...so tonight let's hit the "ones". Looking for rock tunes with one word titles... Tunes with "one" in the title... Lastly, tunes about being alone, or lonely...
Here at Triple V, we focus on the music more than the thread, so if you want to go "off thread" then be our guest. Just remember to be cool. And by "cool" I mean treat each other with respect and have fun. After all, we're all in this crazy world together...so come on and howl with the pack! Just a little pep-me-up theme today. I got this idea from a league member wanting to quit fantasy football because of C19 and excessive injuries. Obviously, his team isn't doing so well. Anyhow, the league Commissioner was going to pull the plug. Well, I rallied the rest of the teams and straightened things out. We also shamed this guy with the Quitters Never Win and Honoring Your Commitment speeches. Hehehehehe Needless to say, we are back in business! To honor those who never quit and to remind us of the shame in giving up, lets post songs about both. To help us along with this idea, here are a few keywords to look for in the title of songs, band/artist names, or album names: Accept , Always , Begin , Believe , Bring Down , Carry on , Doubt , Drop , End , Finish , Give Up , Go , Hold Out , Keep going , Kill , Never , Pull Back , Push Forward , Quit , Reach, Remain , Stay , Stop , Surrender , Survive , Trust , Try , etc. If the effort isnt worth it for you to try, I can dig that! Do not fret, VVV is always an open thread. Meaning, you do not have to follow the theme, just post whatever Rock tunes you'd like to share. Post funny mems, pics, or gifs. Or even tell us about your concert going experiences. We love those most! One last thing before we give em hell. Please have fun and follow VVV's Golden Rules. PLEASE RECOMMEND Yeah... I thought about using a picture of cadavers in a field but decided to spare everyone the gross out and go with the Rembrandt. Tonight's theme is anatomy. You know the drill. Post songs that refer to body parts in the title or songs performed by bands whose name does the same. Also songs with words like 'body', 'cadaver', 'corpse' or carcass' in their titles. It's almost Halloween so we might as well start getting our spooky on. Ten points for anyone who can come up with a song that refers to 'biology' or 'physiology' in the title. If the theme isn't your thing, then post whatever music you're in the mood for tonight. It's always an open thread at The Triple V. Please Recommend! |
